We just had to double take at Ashley Graham’s optical illusion naked dress

Our number one prediction for a red carpet? At least three naked dresses. And yet, with barely a single sighting of the celebrity favourite at the 2024 Emmys, could this be the beginning of the end of the style's so-far endless reign? Not if Ashely Graham has anything to say about it. (And thank goodness for that!).

The model took to Instagram to share snaps of herself wearing a suuuperrrrrrr realistic optical illusion naked dress. When we say we had to double-take...

The design in question consisted of a tank top silhouette in a rich burgundy hue featuring a yellow graphic print of a woman's nude torso overlaid directly in line with Ashley's own body. Yep, rather than literally flashing the flesh through cut-outs or sheer fabric, the design cleverly gives the illusion of the wearer's nudity through strategically printed illustrations on the fabric.

No surprise, the dress was a Jean Paul Gaultier number. The designer has become well-associated with optical illusion naked dresses after celebs including Paris Jackson, Sabrina Elba and Vick Hope have all donned JPG dresses that feature similar prints.

Ashley, too, is a long-time fan as it turns out her latest ensemble is the third (!!) look by the designer she has worn within a week. Could be she's found her fashion formula. For an event in New York, she opted for a similar graphic print tank dress, though this vintage design featured cherubs and nature scenes on a monochrome colour palette.

And, Ash's stylist, Emily Evans, also shared snaps of Ash in *another* vintage JPG dress earlier this month. This tank dress, from the designer's spring summer 2000 collection, was multicoloured and printed with blurred, overlapping faces. Trippy.

As for the optical illusion naked dress trend itself, Ash has also repped that look before, too. Last March, she wore a Sergio Castaño Peña denim cut-out dress with hyper-realistic belly button and hip shadows.

Yep, we've said it before and we'll say it again – she's a style queen!
