Julie Bishop has been pictured celebrating in style at Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s lavish Mexican wedding.
The former Foreign Minister and her husband, David Panton, looked party-ready as they stood on the beach at the at the One&Only Pamilla in Los Cabos, chatting with another guest.
Wearing a glam, one-shoulder silver gown, which was bejewelled with sequins, Julie could be seen standing on the sand barefoot, hoisting up her dress with one hand.
Last week, the pair were spotted jetting out of Sydney on their way to Mexico for Karl Stefanovic’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough.
The couple were all smiles as they checked in at Sydney Airport, with both Julie and David carrying their wedding outfits in garment bags.
Qantas staff were happy to take Julie’s garment bag off her hands as they made their way through check-in and security.
Julie has previously been dubbed ‘Fashion Minister’ due to her sometimes very extravagant wardrobe, which included a $32k dress designed by Aussie Rachel Gilbert, which she wore last year.
As they made their way through the terminal on Friday, Julie was asked if they were looking forward to the wedding.
“Very much,” she responded in the video.
Karl and Jasmine tied the knot in front of 180 guests, at the One&Only Palmilla resort.
The bride stunned in a bespoke gown with a detachable skirt, which reportedly took designer J. Andreatta six months to create.
Jasmine’s father Bob walked her down the aisle at the luxurious resort
The likes of Julie Bishop, Sylvia Jeffreys, Richard Wilkins, model Montana Cox and blogger Louise Roe were among the famous names in attendance, who danced the night away in a marquee bejewelled with glistening fairy lights.
Two of Karl’s three children from his 21 year marriage to Cassandra Thorburn flew in for the special event.
Karl’s best man James Packer is reported to have pulled out of the wedding just days before the couple flew to Mexico.
The billionaire had been rumoured to be right by Karl’s side, but reports claim James decided to skip the lavish ceremony to celebrate his mum’s 80th birthday in Argentina instead.
“Unfortunately he is not able to make the wedding due to this being such a special opportunity to spend time with his mother on this auspicious birthday for her,” a source told The Daily Telegraph.
