Jude Law shocks fans by teasing sequel to The Holiday: 'I'm crying'
The Holiday may have a sequel in the works and we would do anything to see Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black together again!
Jude Law has sent fans into a meltdown after hinting that there might be a sequel to The Holiday in the works. If you're not familiar with the film (now's the perfect time to catch up if you're not!), it's about two women, one from LA (Cameron Diaz) and one from Surrey (Kate Winslet), who decide to switch houses for two weeks at Christmas, hoping they will forget their troubled love lives, but love soon finds them when they least expect it.
Jude stars as Amanda's love interest and Iris' brother Graham in the film, and he plays the role perfectly. The star was enjoying lunch with director Nancy Meyers as they celebrated his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she wasted no time asking the actor about a sequel.

"Look who I'm having lunch with today – Jude Law!" Nancy told her followers on Instagram. "Congratulations on your so well deserved star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, that's amazing."
"It's so great to see you, I don't think I've seen you since we wrapped The Holiday speaking of which, I've seen you interviewed a lot and they keep asking you is there going to be a sequel – what do you think?"
"Is there going to be a sequel?" Jude says before putting a napkin over his head and turning himself into Mr Napkin Head, which fans of the movie will remember well.
After putting a pair of glasses over the napkin, Nancy asked him, "Is that a yes, Jude?"
The star then put his finger on his chin as though he were thinking about the proposition before the video cut out.
The Holiday fans react to possibility of a sequel
Fans took to Nancy's Instagram comments, flooding with messages of support for a second film, but only if she was involved.
"Omg I would die and go to heaven," one user wrote.
"We desperately need you back in the director’s chair making another movie," another told Nancy.
"Nancy this is not funny!" a third said. "You better not be messing with us!"
"Just casually breaking the Internet," someone else added.
"This is not the time of year to be messing around with our hearts, Nancy!" another fan wrote.
"Do not play with our feelings like this, Nancy!" one said. "What do you mean a sequel to The Holiday? Give it to us already, we beg you!
Jude reveals discussions of a sequel to The Holiday
Jude has previously said there's been discussion about a sequel, telling Comic Book, "So, when it became apparent to us as a cast and a team that the love of this film was just ongoing and people were really making it a part of their holiday season on a regular basis, we started to sort of communicate because we were thrilled."

"You can’t plan for something like that, it’s such a delight when you hear that that happens. When does that happen? A handful of films maybe, so we felt very lucky and it’s a beautiful thing. So, of course, that conversation comes up, 'Is there an idea?'"
He added, "That all lands in Nancy Meyers’ lap … She’s pretty meticulous. So, she would only do it if it was a really robust idea and then it would be whether the four of us would come back. I would be curious to see what they’re all doing."
