Jessica Simpson baffles fans with topless photo: 'Doesn't look like herself'

Jessica Simpson surprised her fans after sharing a topless selfie from her spring holiday, with many writing that they didn't believe the singer looked like herself.

The singer, 43, shared several snaps from her family holiday to Cabo, Mexico on Tuesday. The caption read: "2024 Spring Breakin’ with the fam was EPIC! Thank you @tinasimpsonofficial for giving these kiddos memorable moments in Cabo that they will hold close to their precious hearts and cherish for a lifetime!"

The first snap appears to show Jessica topless or with a barely there bikini top, with some fans sharing their concern for the singer in the comments section, as they felt she looked quite different.

"I’m a fan, obviously, I’m here. That said… she doesn’t look like herself any longer and that makes me sad 😢," one fan wrote.

"Same. The first photo confused me," another agreed.

"I’m a fan but this picture is concerning," a third added.

"I didn’t know who this was..." someone else said.

Many others defended the star, with one fan writing, "If you have nothing nice to say move along. She has long suffered from having insecurities in her appearance... so leave her alone. [You're] beautiful regardless. Love [you]."

"These comments did NOT pass the vibe check," another said.

"You are so pretty," a third wrote.

"Love you Jess!" someone else said. "I have never seen you so happy 🤍 So good to see you with your light shining brighter than ever."

After undergoing a 45kg weight loss transformation following the birth of her Birdie Mae in 2019, Jessica revealed in an interview that she now feels younger.

"I went to a nutritionist, and I needed to get my eating habits right," she told Extra. When asked if she feels "healthy", the singer responded, "I absolutely feel healthy."

"I don't know. I feel like my old self before I had children and all the hormones going wild."

"I feel younger, actually. I have a lot more energy and yeah, I get to wear all the clothes that are in storage that I saved for Maxwell and Birdie. Maybe Birdie will outgrow them because Maxwell has already outgrown me!"

The singer has previously revealed she threw away her scales after watching her weight fluctuate for years and only wants to celebrate her body now.
