Modern Family's Joe is all grown up: 'Growing up so fast'

Modern Family star Jeremy Maguire was only four years old when he first started playing Joe Pritchett, son of Ed O'Neill's Jay Pritchett and Sofia Vergara's Gloria Delgado-Pritchett – so it's no surprise the young star looks quite different now, four years after the show ended in 2020.

The actor, now 12 years old, spoke to E! News, telling them that while he might be young, he's been told he's wise beyond his years.

"I've been told I'm a 30-year-old in a kid's body," he said. "I've been told I'm an old soul. Which, I do think that of myself, too."

Jeremy added that while it was very fun to work on the show as a young kid, it wasn't always easy.

"When you're growing up and there's a camera in front of your face, sometimes you don't wrap your head around the fact that these aren't your actual family," he said.

"And that's just really hard, especially for me because, you know, I love everybody. After Modern [Family] ended, I was so sad 'cause [it was the] only life I've ever known."

Fans have shared their surprise on social media at how grown up Jeremy is nowadays, with one user commenting on Instagram, "My god he grew up🥹🤍."
