Jason Biggs Making Directorial Debut With Action Comedy ‘Getaway’; Will Star Opposite Meaghan Rath, Arturo Castro, Justin H. Min & Anna Konkle
EXCLUSIVE: Jason Biggs (American Pie franchise) is making his directorial debut on Getaway, an action comedy, in which he also stars.
Others on board for roles opposite Biggs include Meaghan Rath (Hawaii Five-0), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy) and Anna Konkle (PEN15).

Currently in production in Ontario, Canada, Getaway centers on Kevin Stanwell (Biggs), an actor famous for being the mascot for erectile dysfunction ads. With his marriage on the rocks, he attempts to salvage the relationship with his wife Suzie (Rath) by planning a trip for them to the Adirondacks. Kevin recruits an actor friend, Ernie Guerra (Castro), to stage a home invasion to make Kevin look like a hero, but when the plan goes awry, the couple find themselves caught up in a murder investigation.
Jamie Napoli and Joshua Paul Johnson scripted the project, which hails from Motion Picture Corporation of America. MPCA CEO Brad Krevoy, Charles Cohen, Jimmy Philémond-Montout and David Anselmo are producing, with MPCA’s Amy Krell serving as executive producer.
Said Biggs in a statement to Deadline, “I am absolutely thrilled to be making my directorial debut with the genre-bending Getaway, in partnership with Brad Krevoy and MPCA, Charles Cohen, and an incredible cast led by Meaghan Rath, Anna Konkle, Justin Min and Arturo Castro. When I first read the script from Jamie and Joshua, I knew that it would be an exciting challenge to bring this unique story to life, and I’m grateful to be involved.”
Best known for starring in the American Pie franchise, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, and for a major role in Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, Biggs is currently the host of Netflix’s Blue Ribbon Baking Championship & TBS’s Dinner and a Movie.
Known for her role as Tani Rey on Hawaii 5-0, Rath’s other best known credits include The CW’s comedy Children Ruin Everything, Accused, Schitt’s Creek and How I Met Your Father.
Breaking out with his role as Jaime in Comedy Central’s Broad City, Castro most recently appeared in Doug Liman’s reboot of Roadhouse for Amazon MGM Studios. He recently wrapped production on Disney’s Tron: Ares.
Recently wrapping a four-season run on Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Min’s also been seen on the streamer’s acclaimed series Beef and films like The Greatest Hits, Shortcomings, and After Yang.
Best known for co-creating and starring on PEN15, Konkle earned two Emmy nominations for her work on the Hulu comedy. Most recently, she’s been seen in Apple TV+’s murder mystery comedy The Afterparty, along with films like The Drop and Together Together.
Most recently unveiling the popular Netflix rom-coms Mother of the Bride and Irish Wish, MPCA will next debut its romantic comedy Winter Spring Summer or Fall, starring Jenna Ortega, which premiered at Tribeca.
