Jana Duggar Shows Off Her Nebraska Fixer Upper with New Husband — and Calls on Dad Jim Bob for Help!

The former ‘Counting On’ star revealed she was relocating to her husband Stephen Wissmann’s hometown after the pair tied the knot on Thursday, Aug. 15

Jana Duggar is sharing an update on her Nebraska fixer upper!

The former Counting On star, 34, brought her YouTube subscribers on a tour of the home that she’s renovating with her new husband Stephen Wissmann. In addition to giving a rundown of the space, Jana showed off a little bit of the demo process — and enlisted the help of her dad Jim Bob Duggar and her sisters.

“My dad and some of my sisters have come up to help us with demo day at our fixer upper,” she explains in the video.

The camera cuts to Jim Bob teaching them how to remove the closet doors from one of the rooms. She then shows her sisters helping to remove the carpets and calls the process “a little gross” when they discover some moisture underneath.

In another scene, Jim Bob and Wissmann work together to rip out one of the walls. Over the clip, Jana writes, “Of course, we have plenty of fun on the job too!”

Earlier in the video, Jana explains how she and her husband plan to demolish the wall between the first and second bedroom to create one large primary suite.

After the wall is out, she marvels at how the space looks “so much bigger.” She also notes how grateful she is for her helpers.

“It’s amazing to me how fast a project like this can move along with so many people in here volunteering their time and energy to help. We are so thankful for all the extra workers,” she says.

While giving a tour of the five-bedroom abode, Jana brings viewers downstairs and reveals how the expansive living area might be turned into a game room or a home theater.

Upstairs, she notes how they want to rip out the glossy wood floor in the open kitchen and living space as it’s “noisy” to walk on and “it never looks clean.” They also ripped out one of the closets to make the room feel even bigger.

“Even though this place feels a bit gutted, I have to say, just looking out here, I am so in love with this natural light,” she says. "That is something that this home really has going for it. Lots of great windows on every side. I can’t wait to see how this place comes together."

Jana — who is the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children — tied the knot with Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Ark. on Thursday, Aug. 15. During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the former TLC star revealed her and her husband’s plans to relocate to Wissmann's hometown in Nebraska.

"He has a little house we bought that we've been fixing up and getting pulled together, and so that's been fun," Jana shared.

Over the years, Jana says she worried that getting married might not be in the cards for her.

"I think as I got older, it definitely came on more and more and it felt like, 'Okay, this isn't happening. Let me figure out something else, maybe I'm supposed to be doing something else,' " she says.

Jana says she "dated around," but nothing ever materialized. "I'm just like, 'What is it? Is it me? Do I have a problem?'"

She adds, "I haven't always understood what the bigger picture is, but I know that God knows what is best for all of us. And so for me, it's getting married later. Each of our stories will be written differently. If we were all the exact same, it would be a boring life. So I think it's neat how God orchestrates."
