Yahoo Lifestyle Jamie Lee Curtis says Pamela Anderson's 'incredible beauty' reminds her of late mother Janet Leigh
Curtis revealed that her fellow "Last Showgirl" actress' "innocence" also made her think of her mom.

Pam Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Janet LeighJamie Lee Curtis has revealed that her fellow Last Showgirl star Pamela Anderson reminds her of the first woman in her heart.
The Oscar-winning actress said in a new interview that Anderson, who leads the new Golden Globe-nominated, Gia Coppola-directed drama, makes her think of her mother, late Hollywood icon Janet Leigh.
“Pamela is classically beautiful, my mother was classically beautiful," Curtis told PEOPLE during a discussion about their film. "I have always thought I was cute at best, and felt as a child that way. And so in a way, Pamela reminds me of my mother.”
Added Curtis: "There was an innocence about my mother and incredible beauty. I wrote a piece about her once [called] 'Bye Bye, Beauty.' And I think the opening line of that article was, ‘My mother was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life.'"
"That is what I took from Pamela, was this incredible beauty and just openness, just really very moving to me," the Halloween franchise actress finished.

An industry staple in her own right, Curtis' parents blazed a trail for her as popular performers of their generation. Her mother famously portrayed the ill-fated Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic Psycho, while her father, Tony Curtis, appeared in classic titles like Some Like It Hot and Spartacus.
Following the deaths of Leigh and Curtis in 2004 and 2010, respectively, their daughter dedicated her 2023 victory at the Oscars to both of them after she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
"My mother and my father were both nominated for Oscars in different categories," she told the audience of Leigh's nod for Psycho and Curtis' nomination for The Defiant Ones, before she cried on stage as she spoke. "And I just won an Oscar!"
The Last Showgirl expands to theaters nationwide on Jan. 10.
