Jackie O confesses she's 'embarrassed' by her massive salary
The Aussie star said it can be "scary" to earn a lot of money.
She's had a long and successful career in the Aussie entertainment industry, but radio host Jackie O Henderson has revealed she has felt "embarrassed" about reports of her wealth.
The Kyle & Jackie O co-host opened up in an interview with the Something To Talk About podcast about being wary not to "flaunt" her wealth, saying it's "scary" to be a self-made millionaire.
She also referenced the struggles of making so much money as a single woman.
“As a man, they’d absolutely be owning that, and as a female, when you’re single, it’s quite scary to earn a lot of money, because a lot of men can be intimidated by that," she said.
“And so your instinct is to downplay it for that reason.”

Jackie, 48, also said while she likes to have nice things, she gets embarrassed to talk about it.
“I do sometimes get embarrassed to talk about money. I hate showing off wealth. I want a nice bag, car and house, but I don’t want to flaunt it,” she said.
"But I shouldn’t be embarrassed about it, so I am trying to take more ownership of that."
The Aussie star and her co-host Kyle Sandilands signed a contract with ARN in 2019 that was rumoured to be worth $7-8 million per year, with their radio show signed until at least the end of 2024.
