Item used by King Charles and Queen Camilla on Australian visit stolen: 'Needs to be security around them'
Sydney-based radio hosts Jimmy and Nath managed to get their hands on an item used by the couple.
King Charles and Queen Camilla's brief visit to Australia may be over but two Sydney men have revealed that they were able to "snag" a little memento of the occasion. 2DayFM's Jimmy & Nath confessed to listeners that they stole an item used by the couple during their royal visit to Australia and let's just say it could not be more Aussie.
The radio duo, who are on-air on 2Day FM each morning, managed to procure the tongs used by the King and Queen to cook the sausage sizzle at the private BBQ held in Parramatta Park earlier this week. The pair told listeners this week that they had tried to donate the tongs to a museum, but no one wanted them.
Thankfully, the Royal Hotel in Paddington, Sydney said they would step up and proudly display the tongs for all patrons.
"Is there appropriate wall space for King Charles' royal tongs somewhere?" Nath said.
"Mate, I can already picture it now, we've just got to keep it somewhat out of arms reach of the young ones after a few beers," Angus from the Royal Hotel said.

"With great power, comes great responsibility," Jimmy told him, joking, "That's why Nathan and I want to get rid of it. People will try and steal these as well... there needs to be security around them."
"We'll definitely have that sorted," Angus responded. "I promise. No one will touch 'em."
"Well, Angus, I've got some great news for you, mate," Nath said. "For the simple price of lifelong free beers, the Royal Paddo is getting the royal tongs! Well done!"
Royal fans notice 'astounding' detail during King Charles and Queen Camilla's Aussie visit
It comes after a royal fan pointed out the 'astounding' difference between King Charles and Queen Camilla's interactions with the Aussie public. Taking to TikTok, Cassandra Keeley, who goes by @cassandrakeeley1 on the app, shared a video of the way Charles and Camilla greeted waiting fans.
"The contrast between Camilla and Charles is astounding!" she wrote on a video that showed King Charles having conversations with the crowd, while Camilla simply shook hands and moved down the line, without the same warmth.
Charles is heard speaking to some young Aussies about being in school and asking another about the seat they managed to find while they waited for him. One fan, possibly Cassandra, is heard saying, "Oh my God, I just met the King!"
As Camilla walks down the line, the fan tells her, "[It's an] honour to meet you," but Camilla doesn't acknowledge her and keeps walking.
Royal fans divided over King Charles and Camilla's conversations with fans
"King Charles makes an effort and gives a crap," one user commented. "Camilla just doesn’t!"
"Love our King Charles and Queen Camilla 💛👑💛," another said. "We must remember Charles was born into it and Camilla only since her fifties."
"King Charles does actually care about his duties very much so. Camilla really hates it," a third claimed. "It is what it is."
"The king has 20 conversations going at once I love it," someone else said.
"Camilla’s like 'eww, peasants,'" another joked.
Some defended Camilla, with one user saying, "They are probably so tired, she is also a very nervous person you can tell that in a lot of things she does."
