You may know Dylan from the iconic 90s music show Recovery, or his stellar radio work over the years, or for being an extra in Star Wars, scene 11, Dex’s Diner.

Not long after the show began betting agencies already had a clear favourite in Dylan. Sportsbet had Dylan as the standout sitting at $2.50 at the beginning of the month.

The 48-year-old actually won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2002 so it looks like those fans voted for him once again.

"I did go in fearing absolutely everything... so having had to go through all of that I genuinely feel like a stronger person and would probably do it all again," Dylan said during the finale.

This year, the show was filmed in advance for the second time due to the pandemic with contestants eliminated based on their performance, not by viewers votes.

However, the winner was chosen by viewer votes, so that fans could get involved. Poh Ling Yeow was the last celebrity to be ejected from the show before the Grand Finale, leaving plenty of viewers devastated.

But six celebrities made it to the final hurdle. Here's a look at the stars that made it almost all the way.

Second place: Brooke McClymont

Brooke is one-third of Australian country music trio, The McClymonts with her two sisters Samantha and Mollie. But after never watching the show, Brooke decided to take the plunge and enter the jungle anyway.

"SURPRISE 🥳, I'm heading into the Jungle," she told her fans via Instagram. "Arghhh the biggest secret I’ve ever had to keep!!!

"I’ve never watched or seen the show so wish me luck, I’m absolutely bloody petrified."

Third place: Nathan Buckley

Spanning a 280 game-playing career, Nathan, 49, is one of AFL’s most decorated players. He then spent a decade as the respected coach of Collingwood.

With time on his hands, he decided to spend some time in the 'jungle'. Though at first it looked like his time could come to an end relatively quickly, after he suddenly collapsed on set, sending his fellow campmates into a panic. Thankfully, Nathan made a quick recovery and returned to the camp to much fanfare shortly thereafter.

The 'father figure' of the show was also a firm favourite to win according to betting agency Sportsbet, but fell just short coming in third place.

"There were some hard moments no doubt," he told hosts Chris and Julia after he was eliminated, also saying he has learned that "vulnerability doesn't mean you're weak".

The David

Originally being listed as a show designer and super influencer with 3.9 million, in a major plot twist, David turned out to just be “just a regular guy from the Goldie”.

Poh was the only one in on the secret at first and it was up to her to convince her campmates that David was an actual celebrity.

The truth did come out eventually, with Beau Ryan particularly shocked by the revelation.

Emily Seebohm

Four time Olympian, Emily has won an incredible 56 medals on the world stage, making her one of Australia’s most celebrated swimmers. 29 years old now, she debuted for the Australian team at the age of 14.

The swimming champion opened up on the show about her struggles with easting disorders and her past relationship with former swimming partner and boyfriend Mitch Larkin.

The couple broke up in 2018, with Emily claiming that she “worked out he was cheating”.

Joey Essex

The much-lauded international reality TV Star certainly had a lot of reality TV experience before heading onto the show. British TV personality Joey Essex started on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2011 and has made a career for himself in the medium ever since.

While he came in late on the show, he did have an advantage over his campmates, he finished fourth in the British version of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2013.

Back in January 2021, former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield won season seven of I’m a Celebrity Get Me… Out of Here after defeating Grant Denyer and winning $100,000 for her charity.
