Huge twist for MAFS' Bronte and Harrison after wedding bombshell

The season ten couple aren't off to a good start.

They were one of the first couples to say ‘I do’ during Monday night’s Married At First Sight premiere, but Bronte Schofield and Harrison Boon’s budding relationship fell apart just as quickly as it began.

Bronte was left stunned when she found out her new husband had a girl waiting for him in the outside world after one of her guests recognised him as the guy her friend was seeing and had even slept with the day before.

What’s perhaps even more interesting is that Harrison's mystery girl was a contestant on this year’s season of The Bachelors named Abby Miller – and Bronte's friend who told her, Jessica Tomlinson, was also a contestant on the dating show.

While Harrison insisted to his new bride that his relationship with Abby was never anything serious and he hadn’t made any promises to meet up with her after filming ended, sources tell Yahoo Lifestyle this isn’t entirely true.

An insider close to Abby tells us she is “biding her time” until she can speak out because she is still under contract with The Bachelors, but she has seen him since filming ended.

The 21-year-old also shared a selfie on Instagram on Monday night following the episode alongside a simple caption with a teacup emoji, seemingly referencing that she has plenty of ‘tea’ to spill.

'I was very upfront'

This comes after Harrison told Fitzy & Wippa on Tuesday morning that he had “absolutely no idea” his romance with Abby would come out during filming.

“You saw the show, I was a bit of a deer in the headlights. I was like, ‘What's going on?’,” he shared. “And you’ve got to remember too that a lot of that that came out, not a lot of that's true.

“It’s true that I was single, it’s true that I was dating, but the idea of having a relationship during the show or after the show, that's not true. And I made it one hundred per cent clear to anyone that I was seeing before I went in there, ‘Look, this is what I'm doing, I'm giving this one hundred per cent, thanks and goodbye’ essentially.”

He went on to claim that Abby was not waiting for him on the outside because “she’s got her own life”.

“She knew exactly what I was doing, I was very upfront about it,” he continued. “We actually said our goodbyes, and that was a bit of time before I went into the experiment and got married.”

When asked if he was worried about what Abby would say about him when she inevitably speaks to the media, he replied: “Not really.”
