Home and Away fans call out bizarre detail in storyline: 'Wasted the opportunity'
Where has the band Lyrik gone?
The band Lyrik was introduced to Home and Away in 2022, with fans delighted by the fresh storyline and new faces – it’s how Remi Carter (Adam Rowland), Kirby Aramoana (Angelina Thomson) and Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo) made their way to the bay. However, the band has seemingly been missing from our screens lately and fans have one big question: when will they play again?
There’s been some drama since they arrived, including Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) replacing former frontman Bob Forsyth (Rob Mallett). Since then, Kirby also left the group to go solo before eventually returning, but they haven’t reached life-changing fame. Lately, the group has been missing from our screens.
One viewer kicked off some discussion in a Facebook fan group, asking: “Why doesn’t the band do anything anymore?”
“The writers wasted the opportunity to make the band something amazing and bring the show back to life,” a fan lamented.

“It’s a joke!!!” another agreed.
“They should be playing, everyone is good,” a third added.
“[The band is] too busy eating pizzas and drinking beers,” another commented.
The band is planning to get back together in the future, but life has become quite complicated for them all. Since Theo has been busy with his exams and was short of time, the band agreed to take a break, so Eden finally had to get a job at Salt.
To be honest, since there have been multiple near-death accidents and kidnappings that have happened to the band members, it makes sense they might need a bit of a breather. There may also be a reason that the writers aren’t heaping success on Lyrik. If the group finally made it big, there’s no doubt they would have to leave the small town of Summer Bay.
Home and Away fans urge producers to get rid of Lyrik altogether
Some fans have been pleased by the band’s lack of screentime lately, with one saying “I can’t stand that bloody band”.
“I agree, I fast forward when they sing,” another admitted.
“Thank god they are not playing,” a third said.
“Let it be we don’t need them playing anything! I would rather listen to my galah singing and dancing,” another added.
Home and Away fans joke that Irene should join Lyrik
After one person criticised Eden’s character, saying she “can’t do two jobs at a time” and suggested they replace her in the band with Irene, fans went wild.
“Irene could make great music with all her empty wine bottles,” a fan joked.
“Exactly! Especially if she put water in the bottles at different water levels,” another replied.
“Yes, like a xylophone,” the original fan agreed.

“Irene on the tambourine, or triangle,” a third suggested.
“THESE ARE THE BEST COMMENTS,” a delighted viewer wrote.
Perhaps producers can take note and put together a band with Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), Irene Roberts (Lynne McGranger), Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) and John Palmer (Shane Withington). Now that would be a twist!
