Today we're here to talk about the celebrity couple of my millennial dreams: Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song, aka Kevin McCallister and London Tipton. The Cosmo cover stars tend to keep a pretty low profile, but over the course of their decade-long relationship (!!), they've gradually allowed fans some insight into their ultra-private romance...and let me tell ya, it's just as sweet as you'd expect.
Ahead, everything you need to know about Mack and Brenda's relationship timeline, from their awkward first meeting at Seth Green's house to where they stand now.
2014
In their joint cover story for Cosmo, the couple reveals that they met for the first time at fellow actor Seth Green's house all the way back in 2014...but it wasn't exactly love at first sight. Brenda's short-lived FOX sitcom with Seth, Dads, had just been canceled, and Mack (who was staying at Seth's place at the time) was attempting to lighten the mood.
"He was trying to be funny about our show being canceled and I was not having it," Brenda recalls.
Mack agrees, adding, "She was thoroughly unimpressed by me is what I will say."
June 2017
Mack and Brenda reunite on the set of Seth Green's movie Changeland, which begins filming in Thailand in June 2017.
July 2017
Just about a month after production begins on Changeland, Mack and Brenda spark dating rumors when they're photographed having dinner together at Craig's in Los Angeles.

Another (maybe) date night! In September, the two enjoy a double date at Knott’s Berry Farm with Seth and his wife, Clare Grant...and according to a source for Us Weekly, Mack and Brenda are even spotted holding hands!

The pair travels to France together, where Mack introduces Brenda to his goddaughter, Paris Jackson.
August 2018
During an August appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Mack hints that he and Brenda may have babies in their future. "This one’s a good one, so I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit," he jokes in reference to his GF. "I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing."
September 2018
While Brenda tends to be pretty coy about her private life, she does tell Us Weekly that everything is going "great" with Macaulay during a Stand Up to Cancer event in September, adding, "I don’t like to talk about my personal life, but everything’s wonderful, and I’m happy."

After making their shared love of cats known, Brenda introduces the newest member of her and Mack's family on Instagram: Santa Claws.

For an Esquire profile about Mack, Brenda offers some really sweet insight about her BF, saying, "People don't realize how incredibly kind and loyal and sweet and smart he is."
Oh, and Mack made that same joke he made on Joe Rogan's podcast back in August 2018 about "practicing" for kids.
"We practice a lot," he says. "We're figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, 'Honey, I'm ovulating.'"

Hard launch alert!! Brenda posts a 40th birthday tribute to Macaulay with a pic that shows them wearing matching jammies, and the internet freaks out (even though, at this point, she and Mack have been dating for over three years).
In her mushy caption, she calls Mack a "magical being" and herself the "luckiest person in the world." Help, I'm crying.

In April, Mack and Brenda welcome their first child Dakota, named in honor of Macaulay's late sister, who was tragically killed in 2008.

Not long after, Brenda confirms those engagement rumors, slyly calling Mack her "fiancé" during an interview with The Cut.

Mack and Brenda head to Sesame Place San Diego to celebrate Dakota's first birthday.

He goes on to add, "You’ve given me all my purpose. You’ve given me family."

Not long after, Mack takes to Instagram to post a cute pic of Brenda in a robe for her 36th birthday, calling her "the best friend, mother, ally, colleague, lover, and partner." 🥹

In honor of Father's Day, Brenda posts a carousel of photos featuring Mack alongside a gushy caption, calling him "the best papa in the world."

Busy month for these lovebirds! First they hit the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of Brenda's film The Last Showgirl...
...which is followed by the Variety and Chanel Female Filmmakers Dinner...
...and a few weeks later, they make an appearance at Goldie's Love-In Gala.

During a candid interview with E!, Mack reveals the secret for why his relationship with Brenda is so successful. "Brenda and I are very good at communicating with each other," he explains. "We have no secrets. We're constantly on the line—we talk, we talk."
Later, he adds, "She’s just the best mom. She’s the best person. I wake up every day knowing I’m lucky. Not feeling I feel lucky, but I know I’m lucky."

Among plenty of precious quotes and anecdotes, Mack and Brenda give an update on whether they're getting married anytime soon. The answer: probably not...but no, they don't plan on eloping, either.
"We talked about eloping," Brenda says. "But I was like, 'If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there.'" Fair enough!
