In what may go down as one of the biggest regrets of his life, national treasure and Gold Logie winner Larry Emdur has made good on his pledge to get the initials of his fellow nominees tattooed on his backside, following his victory at the 64th TV Week Logies.

Despite being one of the most accomplished TV stars in the category, Larry Emdur was full of doubt that he would win the Gold Logie. In fact, the Channel Seven host told news.com.au that he was so sure he wouldn’t win that he’d made quite an extreme pledge if he did.

“I’m so confident I won’t win, I’ll happily get all the nominees name initials tattooed on my a** on The Morning Show live on Monday [if I do],” he revealed.

Well, as we all know, the veteran host did indeed win the coveted Gold statuette and, as a result, a tattoo artist from Bondi Ink arrived in the Morning Show studio bright and early.

Larry - who was understandably bleary-eyed and seemed to be wearing the same suit as last night (slay) - was a good sport as he made his way over to the tattoo station and bared his buttocks for inking, much to co-host Kylie Gillie's amusement.

“Is this what it is like being in those rooms in Border Security," Larry joked as he also quipped about the placement of the tattooist's thumb.

Larry winced through the pain as he continued to perform his hosting duties before Kylie took over solo. Her co-host joked that, seeing as he had the tattoo artist there already, he was also going to get her face inked onto his other buttock.

Larry's Gold Logie win was met with huge celebration - considering he has been on our screens for 40 years - and his acceptance speech was well worth waiting for as he thanked his fellow TV icons, his wife Sylvie, and poked fun at the "arseholes" in the industry.

Saying that his dad told him when he started out in TV to "just be nice to everyone", Larry quipped, "Dad, I’m trying but there’s so many arseholes in this business. Like, so many..."

But he had a lot of love to share for the business, saying he loved being in and on TV and never wanted to do anything else. "Whether it's sitting on The Morning Show couch interviewing Lindy Klim, who has invented a new product - a face mask for vulvas; or a 150kg truck driver who has won on The Price Is Right dry humping me; or being the most axed man in television," he said.

You are an Aussie treasure such a natural, funny, likeable guy.I loved your speech too it was brilliant," another agreed.
