Glenn Close, 77, Opens Up About Her Love Life: 'I'm Very Happy Right Now'

Glenn Close isn't planning on getting Back in Action any time soon.

The 77-year-old actress—who has been married three times in her life—recently opened up about her current dating situation, revealing that she is perfectly content just being on her own.

While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show on Monday, Jan. 13, to promote her newest film Back in Action, Close was asked about her love life since divorcing her third husband, David Shaw in 2015. (She was previously married to musician Cabot Wade from 1969 to 1971, and then to James Marlas from 1984 to 1987.)

The Fatal Attraction star also welcomed her daughter, Annie Starke, with movie producer John Starke.

"Have you approached a relationship since divorce?" host Drew Barrymore wanted to know, while Close didn't waste any time before quickly replying, "No."

"Me either," said Barrymore, who has also been married three times, and divorced her most recent husband, Will Kopelman, in 2016.

Close went on to explain, "I don't know. I mean, I'm always up for anything, but I'm very happy right now."

Barrymore, 49, then asked Close if she had ever tried any dating apps, to which she responded, "Are you crazy?" 

"No, I'm too shy to do that," the eight-time Oscar nominee explained. "I'm not searching. Because I'm actually—I'm not a hugely comfortably social person, so I don't leap to go to a party at all."

"So yeah, I'm OK," she added.

Back in Action, Close's first movie release of 2025 starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, begins streaming on Netflix Friday, Jan. 17.
