Glen Powell's Net Worth Will Blow You Away (Much Like a Twister, If You Will)

Current interests: watching the original Twister, lining up to stand in that one-person wind machine at AMC and forcing people to take pictures of me, stalking Glen Powell's dog Brisket on Instagram, saying "I don't chase anymore" when people mention the weather around me, and changing my phone background from a picture of Chris Evans wearing a cable knit sweater to one of Glen Powell wearing a wet T-shirt.
Anyway! It's an undisputed fact that Glen has completed his metamorphosis into a Movie Star™ and he has the bank account to prove it. Time to dig into this man's net worth, MUCH LIKE THE TRUCK FROM TWISTERS DIGS INTO THE GROUND TO ANCHOR ITSELF.

FYI: Glen Didn't Get Rich-Rich Until Kinda Recently
This man has been acting for a while—and those of us who saw/loved Set It Up know that his formative roles were of the B-list Netflix rom-com variety. Some other early credits that weren't exactly major money makers? Scream Queens, plus small parts in films like Hidden Figures and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, as well as roles in NCIS and CSI: Miami. I mean, not a bad resumé! But an example of how much these roles netted? Glen told Interview magazine, “I had a small role in Hidden Figures, but I had such a good feeling about that movie and what it would become. It’s that point in your career where you’re barely getting by. I think I made $35,000 on that movie, and it was the only movie I made that year.”
Things changed when Glen was cast in Top Gun: Maverick. However, Tom Cruise had the movie pushed a full two years thanks to the pandemic...and Glen almost went broke waiting for it to debut in theaters.
Glen's Top Gun: Maverick Salary, You Ask?
Turns out he didn't make *that* much in the grand scheme of ridiculous amounts actors get paid. In fact, he nearly depleted his bank account waiting for the movie to finally premiere.
“I’d never made any significant amount of money on a movie, including Top Gun, and I was depleting a bank account to a point where my accountant was like, ‘This pandemic cannot last much longer,’” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “But Tom was already Tom; I was waiting for my life to change.”
So, What About Anyone But You?
Thanks to the success of Top Gun, Glen negotiated a much larger salary for his and Sydney Sweeney's rom-com Anyone But You. According to Variety he took home $5 million for the project. Not bad!
About Hit Man and Twisters...
Things are slightly unclear. Mostly because these films are relatively new (Twisters is literally...out right now). But track record says Glen might've been able to ask for north of $5 million for both, and his salary will only go up from here. One thing that is clear? He's in the business of making himself (and other people) rich.
“To be a lasting success in Hollywood, you have to make people money,” Glen told the New York Times. “You have to go, ‘Who is the audience for this? Are you giving people a reason to buy tickets?’ And if you don’t have a very clear answer, move on, no matter how much you may love the script or want to work with the director. I find the gamification of the business fun. How do we make a movie that is rewatched and rewatched over decades? When a movie is really watchable—engaging enough to captivate generations of people—that’s true cultural power.”
So What Is Glen Powell's Net Worth?
Outlets like Forbes and Celebrity Net Worth haven't done deep dives, but Coming Soon reports that Glen has a net worth of $7 million. (Who wants to bet that money doubles within a year?) Anyway, just gonna leave you here with this:
