EXCLUSIVE: MAFS' Lucinda 'deeply concerned' after Eden Harper's wild announcement
"I've met this guy and I'm just completely in love."
In news we didn't see coming, Married At First Sight star Eden Harper has announced she's getting married again, except... there's a twist.
The 2024 MAFS bride originally found love with Jayden Eynaud but the couple split shortly before the show finished airing, with Eden releasing a statement saying their relationship came to an "unexpected end".
"I’m saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an unexpected end. The ‘reality’ is the person I chose didn’t choose me. Whilst I’m disappointed, I will never regret the experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth this process has had on me. Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for," Eden posted on Instagram at the time.

Recently, Eden appeared on an episode of Yahoo Lifestyle's podcast Behind The Edit where she dropped some surprising news about her relationship status — all in the name of good-hearted fun.
In a prank call to MAFS fave Lucinda Light, Eden decided to tell the former marriage celebrant that she met someone new and was eloping, all with hilarious results.
Calling Lucinda, Eden asked her for some motherly advice on whether she should elope with her new man within the next week and also asked if Lucinda could also be her marriage celebrant.
"I feel like if I tell my parents they'll say I'm an idiot, but I've met this guy and I'm just completely in love, he is amazing, but he wants to elope next week and I feel like I want to do it," Eden told Lucinda. When Lucinda asked how long Eden had known him, she clarified that she met him "like, a week ago".

"Do you think it would just be fun for your socials or something, like wild and radical?" a clearly confused Lucinda asked Eden before she replied, "No! I actually love him!"
"Remember you fell in love with Jayden and it took a while to get to know him, you know," Lucinda said. "You don't think I should do it?" Eden asked. "That's why I was asking if you had spare time, you could be the celebrant for us."
"There's no way," Lucinda replied. "I'm so flat chat. It's super cute but you need 30 days to actually certify a wedding, you've got to do a whole lot of paperwork."
After Eden said she felt like Lucinda would love her new man, Lucinda told Eden she was the only one who could make her decisions. "I think it's really fun to be reckless in your 20s and 30s and make wild decisions, I'm not going to say not to do it, but I just won't have time," After Eden asked if she had Lucinda's tick of approval if she did decide to go through with her (fake) marriage, Lucinda was hesitant.
"I just saw you with Jayden, and it took you a while to get to know him, Eden," Lucinda said. "It takes a while to know somebody and if they're actually going to be good for you."

Eden then told Lucinda it was all a joke, with Lucinda laughing and praising Eden for her performance.
"I was semi-between like, it's great to be reckless, I get where you're at, but also I'm a little concerned," Lucinda laughed. "I was trying to pass the buck onto you... but I was deeply concerned!"
