Elsa Pataky stuns in naked dress for glitzy New Year's party

Elsa Pataky has turned heads by donning a barely-there nude frock that left a large amount of the model-turned-actor’s skin on show.

The 43-year-old’s crystal-studded ‘naked dress’ featured a plunging neckline, feather detailing and sheer panelling that revealed the left side of her body from waist to calf.

The Spanish-born stunner sported the outfit to ring in the new year at what looked to be a costume party inspired by the infamous New York City nightclub, Studio 54.

“2020 allá vamos. 2020 there we go #studio54,” the Tidelands star captioned two snaps of herself surrounded by her disco-ready girlfriends on Instagram.

The blonde beauty and her pals kicked up their heels at the Byron Bay mansion she shares with her husband, Avengers star Chris Hemsworth, 36, and their three kids.

Chris, and his younger brother Liam Hemsworth who is currently staying with the couple, appeared to be absent from the ‘do suggesting it may have been a ladies-only affair.

Elsa’s fitness secrets

Elsa revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle in November that she and her hubby of nine years love working out together to keep their bods in tip-top shape.

In fact, the pair have a ‘fun’ rivalry during their shared sweat sessions that seems them push one another to the limit.

The couple is able to put their healthy competition aside, however, to support their respective projects which include Chris’ successful workout, recipe and meditation app, Centr, and Elsa’s new health and fitness book, STRONG.

The rise of the naked trend

Elsa isn’t the only celeb to dare to bare in the head-turning trend of the moment. The ‘naked dress’ has been dominating A-list events for months now after taking over the Venice Film Festival red carpet back in September 2019.

Since then the barely-there style has been seen on pop stars, Sports Illustrated models and even Aussie influencers.

The naked dress has even made its way into the bridal fashion industry, sparking debate over its appropriateness for weddings.
