Dua Lipa stuns in see-through gown at Barbie premiere: 'Gorgeous'

Dua Lipa has left her fans stunned after she arrived at the star-studded Barbie premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday (local time) wearing a sheer silver chainmail dress.

The pop star, who plays Mermaid Barbie in the film, went braless and wore nothing under her sparkling see-through gown except a crystal thong.

She styled the look with a diamond necklace, silver drop earrings and silver heels, and wore her dark brown hair down in waves.

While some social media users argued the “naked” outfit wasn’t appropriate for the pink carpet event, a majority of her fans agreed she looked “stunning”.

“She NEVER fails a red carpet,” one person tweeted, while another added, “Dua is someone we can always count on to serve a red carpet look”.

“She always understands the assignment,” a third wrote, followed by someone else who said, “She looks gorgeous as always”.

“BODY GOALS OMG. She looks way too good,” a different user replied.

Others commented that the Levitating hitmaker looks “so hot”, “stunning” and “absolute perfection”.

In addition to making her acting debut in the film as Mermaid Barbie, Dua also features on the soundtrack with her song Dance the Night.

The album also includes tracks from a range of pop artists including Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Ava Max, HAIM and Karol G - all of whom made an appearance at the premiere.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie wore a strapless black sequinned trumpet gown with opera gloves to recreate the original Barbie ‘Solo in the Spotlight’ doll from 1960.

The Aussie actress was joined by the film’s writer and director Greta Gerwig, who wore an all-pink ensemble, and her co-stars Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Simu Liu and Michael Cera.
