Demi Moore's Daughters Had the Cutest Reaction to Her Golden Globes Win
"I was weeping." Same here, Scout.
Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe (and first acting award) at last night's ceremony. And if her empowering speech wasn't enough to make you tear up, this video of her family erupting into joyous celebrations as they watched her win from home probably will.
Moore's daughter, Scout Willis, posted a video of the adorable moment on Instagram, writing, "SHE DID IT" in the caption. In the video, Scout, along with Moore's other daughters, Rumer and Tallulah, can be seen leaping to their feet as Moore's name was announced on the TV.
In her acceptance speech, Moore, who wore a structural golden gown for the occasion, revealed that she never thought she'd win an acting award after being dubbed a "popcorn actress" by a producer. She went on, "In those moments when we don't think we're smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough or basically just not enough, I had a woman say to me, 'Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'"
Evidently, seeing their mother overcome years of being underestimated in Hollywood meant a lot to her daughters. “What a gift to witness you shine and be acknowledged not only for the incredible work you did in this film but in the multitude of staggeringly breathtaking work your entire career,” Rumer wrote on her Instagram stories. “This is just the beginning.”
Meanwhile, Scout wrote, "I am weeping," before adding, "I am beyond proud, my entire body is buzzing. I am so overwhelmed with joy and pride and gratitude!!"
Talullah also wrote a tribute. "This woman is my teacher, my guide, my friend. The world is seeing you as your family does, and I am beaming with pride."
If this isn't the most heartwarming reaction to an award win ever, I don't know what is.
