S.S. Daley Will Show During London Fashion Week After All

HOMEBOUND: S.S. Daley, the buzzy fashion label founded by Steven Stokey-Daley, confirmed on Monday that it will present its fall 2025 men’s and women’s coed collection during London Fashion Week.

The brand will stage the show on Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. in London as part of the official schedule. The exact location of the show is not known at this stage.

S.S. Daley originally appeared on the provisional schedule of Paris Men’s Fashion Week for the fall 2025 season but later dropped out with no explanation. It wasn’t mentioned on the final London Fashion Week schedule, revealed at the end of January.

Nevertheless, S.S. Daley’s decision represents a vote of confidence in London Fashion Week, which is now a day shorter than previously.

Several key names are absent from the schedule due to various reasons. Those choosing not to show in London include JW Anderson, Nensi Dojaka, Chopova Lowena, Yuhan Wang and Knwls. Due to a tough retail climate, many brands have chosen to stage one runway show a year to ease cash flow pressures.

To help young talents thrive at a tough time, the U.K. government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport, which backs the BFC Newgen program, has committed an additional 1 million pounds in funding for the next year.

The fresh funding will go toward securing a show venue for the BFC Newgen designers, covering presentation costs, and business mentoring for emerging talents.

Last year alone the brand showed in Florence as a guest designer of Pitti Uomo, received investment from pop star Harry Styles, and was handed the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design from Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, for making remarkable strides in fashion with “his unique approach to menswear and storytelling through design,” according to the British Fashion Council.

The designer’s spring 2025 collection saw a solid expansion into the women’s category. The collection was based on the British artist Gluck — born Hannah Gluckstein — and her pioneering gender-bending way of dressing.

It offered a new take on Gluck’s genderless wardrobe for the TikTok generation, where utilitarian uniforms and traditional attire were reinterpreted with techniques used in women’s fashion, like pleating, draping and ruching.

Stokey-Daley started his design career in 2020 by dressing Harry Styles in his University of Westminster graduate collection in the “Golden” music video.

In 2022, he was named the recipient of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers.

His London Fashion Week showcases were memorable affairs involving friends at the National Youth Theatre performing love letters between Vita Sackville-West and Violet Keppel; or featuring Ian McKellen reading an Alfred, Lord Tennyson poem.
