The “You’re so funny” trend has taken over the social media app, as people share that one incident in their lives that helped mold the personality they have today.

And Brooke hopped on to join the fun by sharing her own personal experience working in Hollywood. She wrote, "you're so funny. Thanks! I played a prostitute in a movie when I was 12!"

She made varying facial expressions throughout her video, from smiles to shock. The post has amassed 26.2 million views and over 9K comments since she initially shared it last week.

Her caption referenced the controversial 1978 film Pretty Baby, where Brooke played the 12-year-old daughter of a prostitute (Susan Sarandon), as they lived in a New Orleans brothel in the Red Light District. Brooke played a child sex worker named Violet.

Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields is also the name of her 2023 Hulu documentary, which chronicles her life as a childhood actor and model, being sexualized at such a young age, and the toxic Hollywood culture that continued to perpetuate these destructive themes.

The movie included a scene where a young Brooke was nude. Knowing that she was only 11 when they filmed, one can only imagine how traumatizing that experience might've been. A resurfaced interview of a 15-year-old Brooke explaining why she didn't want to film another nude scene after Pretty Baby went viral on TikTok, as viewers noticed how uncomfortable she looked talking about it.

This 1980 interview was conducted while Brooke was promoting her film The Blue Lagoon, which showed her nearly nude in scenes. She was just 14 when she shot the movie.
