Dakota Johnson Puts Sensual Spin on Lace Detailing in Gucci Slipdress at Bulgari Studio Party During New York Fashion Week
Dakota Johnson favored a flowing silhouette for the Bulgari Studio Party to kick off New York Fashion Week on Wednesday in New York City. The actress was joined by several high-profile stars and guests, including Naomi Campbell, Paris Jackson and Olivia Culpo, among others.
For the occasion, Johnson opted for a slipdress by Gucci. The look featured a dark brown hue with black lace intarsia on the bodice. The sleeveless dress featured a flowing silhouette as well as a V neckline.

Among her accessories, Johnson coordinated with a bold pendent necklace courtesy of Bulgari. The “Suspiria” star’s hair was styled with soft waves by Harry Josh, with makeup by artist Quinn Murphy. Johnson’s look was curated by stylist Kate Young, who’s also worked with Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore, among others.
Johnson has been a brand ambassador for Gucci since the mid-2010s, starring in several campaigns and wearing pieces from the Italian luxury fashion house. One of Johnson’s first campaigns with Gucci was for the 2017 Gucci Bloom fragrance, in which she costarred with Hari Nef and Petra Collins.
Johnson is also an investor in and co-creative director of Maude, a sexual wellness brand.
Gucci is a longtime favorite of Johnson’s for special occasions and red carpet events. For the red carpet premiere of her film “Daddio” during the Tribeca Film Festival last June, Johnson wore a selection from Gucci’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted during Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.
Much like her look from the Bulgari Studio Party, the dress featured delicate lace detailing. The piece also included sheer fabric, a style trend seen on several red carpets throughout 2024.
Bulgari launched Bulgari Studio last March in Seoul. The initiative was created by the jewelry brand to bring artistic talents from various backgrounds and areas of expertise together to collaborate on new projects. Other disciplines included in the Bulgari Studio include digital artists, architects and DJs, among others.
