Daisy Edgar-Jones looks to be continuing her incredible fashion momentum into the new year, stepping out in an winter outfit which distilled the classic meaning of London style.

The actress was seen out in the capital yesterday making her way to the Almedia theatre, where she's currently starring in a production of Tennessee Williams' play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. In a departure from the heavily boho-inspired outfits that she wore during her Twisters press tour, Edgar-Jones has embraced a more heritage style, opting for a short beige iteration of a Mackintosh coat as a buffer against the temperamental British weather.

The Normal People star styled her mac coat with a pair of navy blue wide-leg trousers, both of which are made by the London-based brand Me + Em, and a cropped white vest top. While the brand's mac comes with a detachable hood, Edgar-Jones decided to go without, and wore the mac open which accentuated its sleek swing silhouette.

The 26-year-old has also taken the opportunity to hone her red-carpet style alongside her burgeoning career.

Speaking to Bazaar ahead of her Twister's premiere, to which she wore a draped corseted Vivienne Westwood dress, she shared her evolving appreciation for fashion and relationship with stylist Dani Michelle; "I really love dressing up, I love fashion and playing around with style, and I think I am becoming more and more confident with pushing it but still feeling like myself," she said.

"Dani always tries to go for the effortless, cool style and that’s what I always want to achieve, that feeling of you wearing the clothes, rather than the clothes wearing you."
