Colt Ford is returning to the stage.

The country star, 54, announced on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 21, that he is hitting the road again following the nearly fatal heart attack he suffered in 2024.

"What's up y'all, it's your boy Colt Ford," the "Farm Life" singer kicked off the video by saying. "Y'all come check me out. I'm gonna be back on the road this year. The devil couldn't keep me down, baby."

Ford also showed off his new clothes. "You might even see me out there wearing some of my new Amigo Provisions." He mentioned camo-patterned vests (which he was wearing), shirts and hats from the Texas-based brand. "I'll see y'all on the road," he signed off.

On April 5, 2024, the country star suffered a heart attack after performing at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row venue in Gilbert, Ariz. He was subsequently checked into the Intensive Care Unit at the Banner Desert Medical Center.

Days later, a statement from Ford's team announced: "Ford remains in the ICU, with his condition steadily improving in a positive direction. At this time, his family is requesting privacy and appreciates your continued thoughts and prayers."

Ford spoke out three weeks after his heart attack, telling Big D & Bubba Radio Show hosts that he didn't remember going out to do a show in Phoenix. "Apparently, we played this great, sold-out show and it was incredible. I walked back to the bus, texted my fiancée, ‘Hi baby,’ and fell over dead," he shared.

The singer had to be transferred to a different hospital at one point, but "died on the way over" and had to be revived. He also had three stents put in due to the trauma his body suffered.

After Ford's radio appearance, he also told fans in an Instagram video that he was planning to return to the stage in due time. "I got a long way to go, but I promise you this ol’ country boy will get back. It probably won’t be this year, and I hate I gotta miss all these shows, but I’m coming back,” Ford said.

In 2021, Ford was diagnosed with eye cancer after a friend noticed a spot on his eye. "The doctor told me I was a week to 10 days from having to go on full chemo," he told PEOPLE at the time. Ford underwent surgery and was fortunately back to performing days later.

"I had so many friends asking, 'Why didn't you tell me?' " he recalled. "But I just thought everyone was dealing with so much stuff and stress ... I didn't want to put that burden on anyone else."

"But it did feel good to have so many people reach out to me. It reminded me that it's not always about the music. They actually care about me — the person," Ford added.
