Katy Perry's sheer corset dress with green layered mini skirt is giving lettuce
You don't need us to tell you that Katy Perry always brings it on the fashion front. Whether she's championing butt cleavage in a bum crack-flashing leather trousers, serving Y2K vibes in a backless butterfly top, debuting Egyptian mummy chic in a shredded bandage bra and maxi skirt co-ord, rocking a vintage Chanel thongkini or twinning with Sabrina Carpenter in matching blue mini dresses, 2024 was full of stand-out style moments for the artist.
And it seems she's intent on doing the same for 2025, much to our relief. Just peep her latest 'fit for proof. Taking to Instagram, Katy posted pics of her ensemble worn to the Pièces Jaunes (or Yellow Coins) Gala 2025 in Paris last night [Thursday 23 January]. The event was held by French foundation, Operation Yellow Coins, which works to improve the conditions of hospitalised children and adolescents.
For the occasion, Katy wowed in a look straight off the Mugler spring summer 2025 runway.
Her halterneck mini dress featured white shredded strips of fabric layered over her chest and the centre of her midriff, revealing a sheer corseted bodice with exposed boning. The design's skirt was made up of ombre green draped fabric with an asymmetric hem and short side train. And we can't be the only ones who think it looks like lettuce... right?!
The food association was emphasised by the fact Katy clutched a *giant* croissant in the snaps. When in France, after all. Black strappy sandals with fastenings that wrapped up around her ankles and featured pearl adornments on the top of her foot (also worn by the model on the runway) completed the look.
Earlier in the evening, Katy had taken to the stage to perform during the gala. For this, she also opted for a head-to-toe runway ensemble. Namely, an off-the-shoulder silver mini dress constructed entirely from belts worn with coordinating knee-high silver biker boots.
The outfit was from Jeanne Friot's autumn winter 2025 show that was shown literally the exact same day [Thursday 23 January] as part of Paris Men's Fashion Week. The show featured a notable collaboration with our favourite jeans brand Levi's, evident in the upcycled denim throughout the collection. Meanwhile, Katy's boots were part of a collaboration between Friot and Parisian-based rubber footwear brand, Both.
Rating both these looks 100/10!
