"So Powerful And Beautiful": The Internet Is Applauding Chappell Roan For Calling Out The Music Industry And Demanding Healthcare And Livable Wages At The Grammys

Chappell Roan is officially a Grammy winner! The singer took home the award for Best New Artist — but it's her speech that everyone's talking about.
Even though this was a huge moment for her — after a stellar year! — she took the time to talk about an important issue: healthcare and livable wages. A QUEEN.
"I told myself if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels and the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage, and healthcare especially, to developing artists," she said.
The singer recalled being signed by a record label as a minor; however, she was dropped and struggled to find work during the pandemic since she had no work experience.
"It was so devastating to feel so committed to my art and feel so betrayed by the system and so dehumanized to not have help."
"Labels, we got you, but do you got us?" she asked.
Her speech received thunderous applause, with plenty of fellow artists jumping to their feet and clapping before her speech even concluded. Of course, the internet loved it too:
And all of this after her incredible performance of "Pink Pony Club." Congratulations, Chappell!!!
What did y'all think of her speech?
