The Challenge stars Kaycee Clark and Nany González have ended their engagement.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, the pair each shared the same statement on their respective Instagram Stories, revealing that "after a lot of reflection," they have "decided to go our separate ways." They had been together for more than three years.

"This definitely wasn't an easy decision, but it's what's best for the both of us," the joint statement continued.

Clark and González also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to those who have supported them, writing, "Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way — we're both moving forward with love and kindness in our hearts & we ask that you respect our need for privacy at this time. ❤️."

In mid-January, the couple drew speculation about a split when González, 35, wiped her Instagram account of all but one photo — her cast photo for The Challenge All Stars: Rivals. Clark, 37, still had videos and images of González on her feed at that time.

“My favorite thing about my fiancé is how she makes me laugh every single day,” Clark captioned a June 2024 Instagram carousel with González at the MTV VMAs. “We bring the weirdness out of each other and we don’t hold back 😂🤪”

Clark and González first met while filming The Challenge: Total Madness in 2019 and explored their connection two years later on The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies, which the Big Brother alum proceeded to win.

"We've always been allies in the game and have maintained a very good friendship since, but there was always an undeniable connection between the two of us," González told E! News at the time.

After the Spies, Lies and Allies trailer showed Clark and González kissing, Clark’s ex Tayler Jiminez spoke out on X (then known as Twitter) claiming that the reality star cheated on her with González.

“Kaycee and I broke up because I discovered disgustingly inappropriate text messages between her and that woman while we were STILL together dating all the way back to December in April,” Jiminez alleged on X in July 2021.

Clark and González didn’t let the speculation affect their relationship. The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in August 2023, with Clark writing on Instagram that she felt “ready for the next 1,000 years with” González.

“Our world has changed so much in two years but our love for each other has not,” González wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post at the time. “Let’s continue growing, learning and exploring this beautiful life together. 🤍”

The post featured a video of Clark and González walking and dancing along the beach in the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, where they’d been vacationing. At the end of the video, fire dancers lit up a sign spelling out, "Will u marry me?" and González got on one knee and asked for Clark's hand in marriage. She held a piece of paper in her hand as she read her pre-written proposal.

When Clark appeared on The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras, which filmed in 2024, she spoke about wanting to win the prize money to pay for her and González’s wedding. Clark left in episode 9, and Rachel Robinson and Jenny West tied as the women's winners. Jordan Wiseley won for the men.
