Yahoo Lifestyle Catherine Bach, ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Star, Looks Unrecognizable During Rare Public Outing
People walking around in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks neighborhood earlier this week might not have noticed, but there was a Hollywood star in their midst.
Catherine Bach, who starred in The Dukes of Hazzard from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s and later reprised her role for various spinoff projects, looked practically unrecognizable in a rare public sighting on Nov. 17. The 70-year-old actress embraced comfort in an all-black look comprised of black leggings and a long-sleeved black top.

Bach matched the casual look with a pair of flat black sandals that featured large silver buckles and a black leather cross-body strap that kept her phone within easy reach. She also had a pair of glasses and a pair of dark sunglasses for the outing, both of which were tucked into the neck of her shirt when photographers spotted her and took their snapshots.
The photos were later published by The Daily Mail on Saturday, Nov. 23. The British tabloid reported that the actress was visiting a pet supplies store in the Southern California neighborhood at the time of the sighting.
Bach’s mid-November look marked a stark contrast to the outfits she wore while playing Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard. In the popular comedy series, she often wore cutoff jean shorts, which she paired with a plaid button-down shirt for famous promotional photos in which the bottom of the shirt was tied around her waist to show off her midriff. The iconic look later led to the popularity of Daisy Dukes, the style of cutoff shorts named after her character.
While Bach has attended a few red carpet events over the last few years, she has mostly stayed out of the public eye following her recurring role between 2012 and 2019 as Anita Lawson on The Young and the Restless.
