Cass Thorburn takes swipe at Karl after DWTS elimination
Cassandra Thorburn‘s dancing journey came to an end on Monday night, as she was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.
However, she made sure to go out with a bang, making a slight dig at ex-husband Karl Stefanovic while thanking the public for the support she received.
“I’m just really happy people supported me and kept me here for as long as they did, and made me feel really special,” she said on the show.
“It was like a big hug from the public after a troublesome couple of years.”
Following the breakdown of their marriage in 2016, Cass shied away from the public gaze until appearing on DWTS.
Karl and Cass were married for 21 years before separating nearly three years ago in September. They share three children together – Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12.
Towards the end of the year 44-year-old Karl started dating 34-year-old fashion designer Jasmine Yarbrough, and the couple tide the knot in December 2018.

Just yesterday, Karl and Cass’ eldest son Jackson broke his silence, sharing his hurt at how their divorce played out in the public, but praised his mum for being an “extraordinary person”.
“My mother is the most extraordinary person, and what she has weathered in these past few years, no one deserves the backlash,” he told Woman’s Day in a recent interview.
Jackson also added he knew he needed to “protect” his mother in the aftermath of her split from Karl.
When discussing his father’s decision to separate from his mother, the teen simply stated, “What’s done is done”.
However, the teen acknowledged the former Today presenter was still his father.
“I’ll leave it there for now – who knows what happens next,” he added.
