Samuel Johnson on Cass Thorburn: 'I'd go there'

The new cast of Dancing With The Stars has been announced, and it seems it could be more than just some impressive moves that fly across the dance floor.

Actor Samuel Johnson and children’s book author Cassandra Thorburn are both set to appear on the Channel 10 reality show, and Cass has “got the goods” according to Sam.

During an interview on Nova FM’s Fitzy and Wippa breakfast show on Thursday morning, 40-year-old Gold Logie winner Sam even said he’d “go there” with Karl Stefanovic’s ex.

“You’ve got Cass, Stefo’s ex,” radio presenter Wippa began.

“I mean the way she’s dressed.. She loos like she could dance,” he continued.

“She’s bangin’,” Sam interjected.

“Well she’s single. Are you single at the moment?” Fitzy then asked.

“I’d go there,” was Sam’s simple response.

It looks like the actor’s in no mood to hold back, adding, “Who wouldn’t?”

“Have you seen the photo of her in the paper? Someone slapped me on the a** during the photo shoot last week, won’t say who,” he then revealed. “It might’ve been Cass.”

“And things just felt right, did they mate?” Wippa enquired.

“I don’t know,” responded Sam. “I did tell her she looks great and it looks like she’s going to go all the way because she’s got the moves. She’s got swagger and she looks bangin’.

But before fans get too excited, Sam hinted the prospect of a romance between the two is perhaps unlikely.

“All jokes aside, she’s got the goods,” he said.

Sam and Cass, along with sports star Sir Curtly Ambrose, are the first contestants who’ve been announced for the new Dancing With The Stars which will air later this year on Channel Ten. It will be hosted by Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer.
