Cassandra Thorburn's outburst over ex Karl Stefanovic

During a lavish ceremony in Mexico on Saturday, Karl Stefanovic said ‘I do’ for the second time, marrying 34-year-old shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough.

Now his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn – who he split with two years ago – has reportedly lashed out at the Today show host, labelling him ‘fake’ and ‘narcissistic.’

While the mother-of-three made sure she was far from the chaos of the black-tie wedding, she still had plenty to say about her former flame.

“I’ve done a lot of reading about narcissism… Everything he says is about this fake person who lives in this fake castle, it’s not real,” Cassandra said, according to New Idea.

“He’s thrown three weddings for goodness sake. Who needs three weddings in a year, give us a break.”

It’s likely she was referencing Karl and Jasmine’s commitment ceremony held earlier in March and their speculated ‘legal marriage’ which is believed to have taken place prior to their Mexican ceremony.

Since their split, Cassandra has launched a career as a children’s book author, and there are even whispers she may secure a TV gig in 2019.

Speaking earlier this year, the mum told the Australian Woman’s Weekly that she doesn’t see herself even being friends with her ex.

“The children still have a father but I don’t have a husband,” she told the publication. “He really is dead to me and no, we won’t ever be friends again.”

“There has been practically no contact. I feel like we’ve been discarded and disposed of, replaced by a whole new line-up of starters.”
