Caravan owner's $4 fix for wet weather camping problem: 'Quick, cheap alternative'
One savvy caravanner has come up with a nifty idea for how to keep your possessions dry when it rains.
Camping and caravanning can be great fun, especially during an Aussie summer. You can enjoy long days of swimming, fishing and barbequing before hanging by the fire, sipping a beer or wine, and maybe enjoying a card game. Sounds pretty idyllic, right?
Of course, when it rains, it's a different story. As any avid camper or caravanner can tell you, nothing ruins the fun more than a dreaded downpour. Not only are all of those lovely outdoor activities suddenly tabled, but the dilemma of how to keep all of your possessions dry can be a real pain in the you-know-what.
One savvy caravan owner has come up with a nifty idea for just this problem, negating the need to drag all of your camp chairs into your caravan at the first sign of bad weather.

Easy wet weather hack for caravan owners
With all the bad weather about I decided to pick up a couple of these large bags from The Reject Shop. They are working great for chair covers instead of having to pack the chairs away."
The author of the post shared a snap of the clever hack, showing one of her folding chairs packed neatly into a big tartan bag.
Needless to say, the idea was a hit.
"That's a really good idea. I'm going to do that here at home to protect our chairs from the bird droppings," one group member raved.
"Fantastic idea! Have been looking for a solution. Thanks for sharing," added another.
"Love it. Our chairs didn’t come with covers/bags for storage so this is a fab idea. Also, The Reject Shop have some nice new designs for these bags," a third person added.
"Great idea. I’ll be getting some the next time I’m out and about," yet another wrote while someone else simply said, "I will steal that idea."
Bunnings alternative to Reject Shop hack
If you can't get to The Reject Shop, there are other options that caravan owners suggested.
"I use large garbage bags, or else Bunnings sell clear plastic chair covers. They are lightweight, take up very little room and pack into the flap under the front seat of our chairs," one said.
"Good idea, or Bunnings sell tarp material chair covers," another echoed.
