Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx Have Funny Mixed Reactions to Their Past Outfit Choices: ‘Hell No’
The costars didn’t hold back on their commentary on everything from Diaz’s ‘90s fashion to Foxx’s underwear
Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx may be back in action, but they’re fine with retiring some of their past outfit choices.
In a hilarious video shared to Netflix’s TikTok account on Jan. 20, the Back in Action costars looked back on their memorable fashion, starting from Diaz’s ‘90s style all the way up to Foxx hosting the BET Awards in 2018.
For the most part, the duo had good things to say about their sartorial track record, agreeing that Diaz’s pink cheongsam-inspired dress worn to The Mask premiere in 1994 and Foxx’s Ozwald Boateng purple suit from the 2012 Django Unchained premiere were cool enough to make a comeback.
Diaz, 52, even said she “wasn’t mad” about the very post-’90s getup she put on for the Vanilla Sky premiere in 2001 and then her norm-core look for a Gangs of New York event in 2002, which Foxx agreed was “elegant.”
They also hyped up their double-denim looks, including Diaz’s sexy Canadian tux moment at the 2000 Charlie’s Angels screening (“When do I not wear denim-on-denim?” she quipped) and Foxx’s “Ice Cube” ensemble from the Men of Honor premiere that same year.
But Foxx, 57, had to admit that he’s had a “couple of snafus” in his day. Case in point: the boxers that revealed his “mupa” ("male fupa") at the BET Awards.

Today, the pair are looking better than ever on the red carpet while promoting their new Netflix film, which marks Diaz’s returning to acting after a decade and Foxx’s comeback after suffering from a stroke caused by a brain bleed.
On Jan. 15, they stepped out in Berlin wearing coordinating all-black looks to promote the project, which sees the two actors playing a pair of former CIA spies who traded their lives as operatives to start a family, but are forced to revisit their previous lives and consider what it means for them today.
She rocked a sheer top underneath a long trench coat and wide-leg jeans while he kept it classic in a coat with a furry collar, trousers and a white shirt accessorized with a patterned tie.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, director Seth Gordon shared how Foxx supported Diaz as she returned to acting.
"Anyone who was on set will tell you he was the biggest cheerleader and hype man for her, and really for everybody involved, but especially for her," Gordon said, adding that Diaz, in turn, "spiritually" aided Foxx as he navigated his medial emergency, which occurred on the set of Back in Action in Atlanta in April 2023.
"It was a very unusual situation to navigate, but it makes a big difference when they have this old friendship, and it's coming from such a good place."
