Brynne Edelsten shares plans to 'raise baby alone'

After sharing the exciting news of her 'miracle' pregnancy last month, Brynne Edelsten has now revealed she plans to raise her baby alone.

In an interview with New Idea, the 38-year-old socialite said she was "completely shocked" by the news before adding that there was "no man in the picture".

"There’s no man in the picture," the SAS Australia star told the publication, also revealing the gender of the baby - a little girl.

"I told the father, though. I would never keep the father of my child apart – I don’t think that’s ever going to be something that happens," she added.

"I told him I was happy to raise her alone, so I’m not sure what he’ll want to do. I just see my baby as a blessing – I’m really happy about it.”

Brynne first took to social media just before Christmas to share a photo of her ultrasound, along with the hashtags #babyontheway and #miracle.

"Miracles do happen," the reality TV star captioned the image shared on her Instagram and Facebook accounts.

"Each is another day closer to meeting the love of my life," she added.

Brynne's time on SAS Australia was short-lived, after she quit voluntarily just six hours into the challenge.

During the show she did briefly touch on her relationship with Geoffrey Edelsten, the controversial businessman who died in June.

“I am more than Geoffrey’s ex-wife,” she said. “I’m not a gold digger. I can get through anything.”

In her new interview, Brynne said she thinks Geoff would be happy for her.

"I think it would come as a surprise, as we never thought it was possible for us," she added.
