Brittany Hockley 'heartbroken' after split from Jordan Thompson
After weeks of speculation on social media, Brittany Hockley has shared with the listeners of her podcast Life Uncut that she and tennis star Jordan Thompson split up two weeks ago.
Brittany and her co-host Laura Byrne explained that the 34-year-old had something to share with their listeners, jokingly saying she wanted "to move to Alaska".
She revealed that she had been quiet about the rumours for a "multitude of reasons" but wanted to share what had happened.
"[Jordan] doesn't live here. He lives overseas," Brittany began. "And I think a lot of people forget that, because I constantly get questions about 'why aren't you posting with Jordan,' 'why aren't there stories with Jordan?' Firstly, Jordan does not live in Australia.

Brittany Hockley says Honey Badger 'blamed' her for Bachelor backlash
She continued, saying he is only ever in Australia for around seven weeks a year and that they spent "a really nice, quiet summer together" and while they weren't constantly posting about each other, they had "a really nice time together".
The former Bachelor star shared that it was difficult for her because there were reports for weeks before they had even split up saying they weren't together anymore.
Laura also added that the pair was still figuring out what their future looked like given Jordan travels so much of the year and Brittany's career is in Sydney.
"Yeah, we had some big life decisions that we're making, which was also why we were just keeping to ourselves because we didn't know what the future looks like for us," Brittany added.
'Goodbye for good'
"And then you might have seen probably about two weeks ago now... I dropped him to the airport. He was going back for the next year of travel. And you know, we said goodbyes, but we actually said goodbye for good," she shared through tears.
Even Laura began tearing up as she watched her friend get upset, saying that they share so much of their lives on the podcast, but they don't always share it in real-time so they have some time to figure out how they feel about what they're going through.
Laura shared that it was difficult to watch her friend go through something so tough, especially when she was being hounded on social media by people demanding to know what her relationship status was, adding that Brittany is "f**king heartbroken".
"I can't even explain how hard the last couple of weeks has been," Brittany said. "Like there has been days where I can't get out of bed. There's been days I couldn't stop crying. The girls would walk in and say 'hello' and I'd just start crying."
'Most beautiful and amicable breakup'
She shared that the reason she's so heartbroken is that no one actually did anything wrong, it was simply the fact they couldn't physically be together that broke the relationship apart.
"I really really want to reiterate this: there is not a story here, there is nothing that has happened, it is literally the most beautiful and amicable breakup," she explained.
"We loved each other. Nothing happened. No one's done the wrong thing. It's purely we're at a point of life where we couldn't physically be together."
Brittany added that her career is in Sydney and she can't travel with him again this year like she did last year.
The podcast host continued, saying it was "almost harder" because she almost wished she could "hate" him, because then she could move one.
"But when you love someone and it's purely just a distance thing and you know, 'I want the best for you, you want the best for me and that means not being together anymore'. That makes it so much harder," she added.
'Back on the market'
"So, anyway, I'm back on the market!" she jokingly added.
The podcaster continued, "It's a new chapter again like I'm now reassessing what I thought my future was. And I thought it was planned out. It's completely different now. And I'm back to a place that I hadn't been in for a long time.
"And I'm relearning and I'm really trying to train my mind that it's okay that things change. And just because I thought something was gonna be one way it's okay that it's going another."
