"It is hard to know if they were purposely trying to ruffle feathers or if they simply can't read a room," another source said of the couple.

They added that while there are often "big personalities" on the show every year, once the cameras stop rolling, everyone gets along.

The pair were embroiled in this season's biggest scandal with Tanya somehow obtaining a photo of the show's production schedule from host Scott Cam's office in the first week, which they then used to gain an unfair advantage.

While they deny taking the infamous photo of the confidential production schedule, Tanya and Vito have admitted to distributing it among their fellow castmates.

The married couple and the Josh and Luke Packham were docked two points for their rooms the week the scandal was exposed, but Tanya has never properly explained how she obtained the photo.

The sources add that the scandal was treated very "seriously" on-site and that the couple is "still massively under fire" over how they got their hands on the photos.
