Yahoo Lifestyle Ben Affleck Is 'Throwing Himself Into Work' After Divorce From Jennifer Lopez: Source (Exclusive)
Ben Affleck is keeping himself busy after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez was finalized last month.
"Ben is throwing himself into work as much as he can right now," a source exclusively told Parade. "It's all work, work, work for him at the moment.”
One of those projects reportedly includes a new ad that dropped just days before the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles vie for the NFL championship title at Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9.
The ad for Stella Artois, which stars David Beckham and Affleck's longtime pal and business partner Matt Damon, was directed by Affleck, 52. The spot was also produced and edited by his and Damon's creative studio, Artists Equity.
The Argo director also appears in a game day Dunkin' ad opposite Casey Affleck and Jeremy Strong.
Affleck and Lopez, 55, first got together in 2002 after meeting on the set of the romantic comedy, Gigli, and got engaged that same year. Though the pair eventually went their separate ways in early 2004, they reunited in 2021 after splitting from their respective partners at the time.
(Before rekindling his relationship with Lopez, Affleck dated Ana de Armas and was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018. For her part, Lopez was engaged to Alex Rodriguez before they called it quits in 2021, and was previously married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.)
Lopez and Affleck announced their engagement in April 2022—just one year after they reunited romantically—before secretly tying the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July that year. They wed in a larger ceremony in Georgia the following month.
After a little more than two years of marriage, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, 2024, the exact anniversary of their Georgia nuptials. Their split was finalized in January.
