Beauty and the Geek fans react to steamy performance: ‘Is this PG?’
The revamped series of Beauty and the Geek has officially come to an end, with Lachlan Mansell and Keira Johnstone receiving a majority of votes from their fellow contestants to win the show.
However, it was a very different and much less wholesome moment from last night’s episode that got social media users talking.
The final challenge saw the three remaining pairs perform a very intimate dance routine from Magic Mike Live in front of an audience, complete with rain falling from the ceiling to make it extra dramatic.
Although host Sophie Monk called the challenge a “celebration of their vulnerability, transformation and confidence”, a majority of the participants said they were terrified.

Alexander and Eliza were applauded for their comedic approach to the challenge, as well as Lachlan and Keira, who proved that they had a strong friendship between them.
While fans online labelled the performances from both couples as “so cute”, they were lost for words when it was George and Josie’s time to shine.
The lovebirds told each other that they’d make sure to have fun with the challenge, and it’s fair to say that they definitely enjoyed themselves.
George and Josie, who had built a solid romantic connection throughout the season, treated viewers to some intensely passionate choreography.
“There definitely was a realness to the performance,” Josie remarked. “There was a bit of tension. Maybe that made it easier to play the part.”
After the escape room game master ripped off his shirt, the pair danced in the rain and ended with a steamy kiss.
“I’ve got goosebumps,” Sophie exclaimed as the crowd cheered.
Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the display, with many saying that they were uncomfortable.
“Is this a PG rating? Seriously,” one person wrote.
“When did this show become a softcore porno?” another asked, while a third added, “I feel like I’ve stumbled onto a private moment.”
“This is not what I was expecting to see in a finale of this show,” someone else shared.
“If Josie is not pregnant by the end of this performance, I’ll be disappointed,” one viewer joked, with a different user replying, “I think we’re ALL pregnant now!”
Despite the intimate show, Josie and George ended up becoming the series’ runner-ups after Keira and Lachlan delivered an endearing final speech and won.
“I'd forgotten - or maybe I'd never realised - what it's like to be loved, and have someone genuinely care about me. But now I know what it feels like to be treated properly, to be treated the way I deserve, to know I am good enough,” the motorsports enthusiast said with tears in his eyes.
"Knowing that I will never settle for second best ever again, and I will never accept treatment that is anything less than what I deserve because thanks to Kiera, I know what it's like to have someone who brings out the best in me.”
