Bachelorette star Kurt Herzog revealed as champion swimmer

He's one of the sexy singles vying for Brooke Blurton's heart on The Bachelorette, but champion swimmer Kurt Herzog is no stranger to competition.

The 29-year-old from Sydney's Castle Hill has competed at various World Cups and International meets around the world, his biggest achievement being winning bronze in the 4×200 freestyle relay alongside Olympic legend Grant Hackett in 2015.

That same year, Kurt beat Olympic medallist James Magnussen at the Victorian Swimming Championships.

He's also traded in on his good looks, modelling for swimwear brand Funky Trunks where he's been nicknamed 'Ken Doll'.

Kurt even gave Brooke a pair of swimmers on the red carpet in episode one.

While Kurt says he's been in love twice before, his demanding training schedule during his swimming days left little time for long-term relationships.

"When I was training as a swimmer, I was selfish of my time, and it has taken me a lot to change that," he said in his 10play bio.

Kurt now works as a sports mentor at Magnussen's Swim Squad, and describes himself as 'random, adventurous, inquisitive and shy (at times)'.

When Kurt was announced on the show's Instagram page, Bachelorette fans spotted a strong resemblance to a certain contestant from Angie Kent's season, Timm Hanley.

"Did Timm clone himself a Kurt???" wrote in the comments, to which another replied, "I was thinking the same thing!!!"
