Bachelorette star finally confirms he dated Becky after Pete split

Becky Miles' Bachelorette runner-up, Adrian Baena, has revealed they did in fact date following her split with 'winner' Pete Mann.

Pete dumped Becky over a FaceTime call after spending just three days with her following the show's finale.

Now, Adrian has revealed he also spent just three days with Becky before deciding they'd be better as friends.

Taking to Instagram, Adrian said that he and Becky spoke on the phone after her split with Pete before deciding to meet up, but he found their relationship to be "too sad" and ended things.

"After the show, Becky called me up. She was crying and that. She said what happened between her and Pete," he said.

"Me and Becky, we kept in contact. Then we decided what the heck, let's meet up, let's see what happens. I went in with an open mind. What did I have to lose, nothing.

"It was really good, we had an amazing three days together. But to be honest, it was just sad."

He continued, saying that initial spark was gone, "It was kind of like when you are with your ex-girlfriend, and you are looking at her, and you used to have something special, but it's just not there anymore.

"My heart wasn't in it anymore. When she picked old mate I just took a massive step back."

Adrian shared that he and Becky are close friends, but he didn't want to take things further.

"With me and Becky now, we are super close, and I said let's just be friends. We can be great friends. Who knows what the future holds, but right now I don't see her as anything else than a friend."

He added that he didn't want to be "someone's second choice".

"I don't want to be someone's second choice. I know who I am and I know what I deserve. To me I am a ten, and I deserve that, and I want to be someone's first choice."

Speaking of Pete's decision to dump Becky three days after officially being together, Adrian said he spoke to him and said: "I think it was a dog act. I think Becky deserves so much better than that. It was a bit of a s**t go, bro."

Speaking with Nova's Fitzy and Wippa, Becky said that Adrian was her "heart decision" but she chose Pete because he was "long-term, he was safe, he was secure" and they had potential.

When asked if she and Adrian were together, Becky said they were friends and they had a chat on the night of the finale and "had a bit of a cry together".

"We've spoken about our feelings, because we're very open with each other, with Adrian, I think he got really hurt. And for me as well, I put all my feelings and my energy into Pete," she said.

Becky said that Pete had concerns around the hometowns date, but believed he was too scared to tell her just how concerned he really was.
