'I'm angry': The Bachelorette's Becky Miles on Pete Mann split
Their relationship may have looked like something straight out of a fairytale during last night’s season finale of The Bachelorette Australia but unfortunately one couple has confirmed they’ve already parted ways.
Fans of the show were eagerly waiting for the couples to take to their Instagram accounts last night to declare their love for each other with a cute snap, however that didn’t happen on either Elly or Becky Miles’ pages.
This morning, fans got their Instagram post, but it wasn’t exactly the traditional one they might have been expecting.
Becky took to her social media account to make the announcement that she and her winner Pete Mann split three days after the finale went to air.
“Thank you to everyone for coming on this incredible and crazy journey with Elly and I. We came into this experience wanting a fairy tale ending for the two of us, and while I am thrilled that Elly found her person in Frazer, unfortunately things didn't work out with Pete and me,” the Newcastle local wrote.
“Although I wasn’t lucky enough to find my person this time around, I am grateful for this opportunity and leave with fond memories and no regrets. I wish Pete happiness and all the best in his search for love.”
Speaking on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa Becky said she saw a lot of good qualities in Pete but is angry that he didn’t give their relationship a go.
“When he got home to Adelaide, about three days later we had a FaceTime and he said ‘look I’m sorry I just can’t do it’,” she revealed.
“I still feel quite confused I’m not really sure. He said that he didn’t see a spark there.”
Becky broke down in tears talking about how they parted ways, saying: “I just wanted to really give it a real crack in the real world but we just wanted to chuck in the towel without even having a conversation about it.. I’m angry he didn’t try at the same time I’m still grateful that he told me when he told me he was 100% sure that he didn’t want to continue.”
She went on to say that she felt Pete had some concerns around home visits time but she believes he was “scared to really tell me how how he felt”.
When asked if she thinks she should have gone with Adrian, Becky replied: “I feel like with Adrian we probably had that chemistry. He was my heart decision. With Pete he was long term, he was safe, he was secure. I could have seen that they would’ve been feeling really good potential there with us.
“With Adrian I think he got really hurt, I put all my feelings on my energy into Pete.”
Pete also took to his account to write: “The Bachelorette was such an amazing experience and one I'll always remember. I came on this show to follow my heart and find love but unfortunately in the end true love was not meant to be.

“I also want to take this opportunity to wish @ellymiles and @fneate_3 all the best with their romance. Two great humans who are perfect for one another.”
Becky and Pete may have split after the dramatic finale, but we also saw her sister Elly pick Frazer as her winner.
Elly took to her social media to thank fans for their support during her journey to find love.
“What a ride! I just want to thank everyone for their support and kind words to Frazer and I,” she wrote.
“What an incredible experience to have been on. So much love to my beautiful Sister, Bec. I’m so proud of you for putting yourself out of your comfort zone, being so vulnerable and wearing your heart on your sleeve. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to do this experience without you.
“Also, thank you to everyone behind the scenes for taking such good care of us. I’m so happy that we have gotten to this point to finally have everything out in the open and we can get cracking on making some epic memories together. Good times ahead.”
Frazer posted the same image as Elly, alongside the caption: “The secret’s finally out.
“Coming into the mansion I didn’t know what I was going to get out of this experience. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and opened my heart up… I got to meet Elly, such a kind and genuine person. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store… exciting times to come.”
