Bachelor’s Jimmy and Holly spark engagement rumours during Fiji trip

They’ve been filming their new travel series 100 Honeymoons over the past few months, but it looks like Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston may have to start planning for an official honeymoon.

The reality TV couple, who met and fell in love on season nine of The Bachelor last year, have sparked engagement rumours after sharing a mysterious post on social media during their holiday in Fiji.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Sunday, Jimmy shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with his parents Susan and Noel.

“FaceTime catch-ups with these two,” he captioned the post alongside a kissing emoji.

The bottom right of the image, however, shows the Bachelor couple smiling while Holly holds up her left hand.

Although Jimmy cropped the photo above where an engagement ring would sit on her finger, it didn’t take long for fans to spot the unusual detail.

After one person commented on Holly’s recent snap that Fiji “would be a great spot for an engagement”, another user replied and pointed out that Jimmy's post may be evidence that he actually did get down on one knee during their trip.

“I think they might be [engaged] if you look at his Story of their family catch up,” they said. “Holly holding her hand forward but cut off so can’t see a ring…”

“I agree! I reckon it’s happened!” someone else added.

Following their on-screen love story last year, Jimmy and Holly moved in together just a few weeks after the show’s final episode aired on TV.

The pilot recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram celebrating his partner’s 28th birthday and hinting at marriage plans.

“Happy birthday to my best mate. I love you more than anything in the world,” he wrote alongside a montage of cute moments throughout their relationship.

“What a ride we have had, from declarations of love on national television to painting a mirror on our garage floor. I love every second I spend with you and look forward to a lifetime of love and adventures with you.”

The video tribute also featured a snap of Holly posing with the diamond commitment ring he gave her on The Bachelor, prompting fans to ask when they will get engaged.

“Hurry up and switch the ring to the other hand!” one person commented, to which Jimmy responded, “It would be an easy switch wouldn’t it”.

The engagement rumours come shortly after The Bachelor’s season eight winner Irena Srbinovska shut down rumours that she and her partner Locky Gilbert are secretly married following a surprising comment he made in a recent trailer for SAS Australia.

The two-time Survivor player, who is set to appear on season three of the military training show later this month, shared a promo video on social media last week where he says he wants to be “a better husband”.

Yahoo Lifestyle reached out to Irena to try and set the record straight after fans questioned the current status of the pair’s relationship, and she confirmed that she and Locky aren’t married.

“Oh my goodness when I heard that I was even like, ‘What husband?,” she said.

“But we are not secretly hitched. Locky always refers to me as his wifey or Mrs Gilbert so that’s where that would have come from.”

However, fans shouldn’t be too surprised if the pair make an announcement in the near future, with Irena adding: “No engagement and no secret wedding… Yet!”
