Tune into the Golden Globes tonight thinking Taylor Swift was going to walk the red carpet only to be sorely disappointed? Unfortunately, she skipped this year's event! Which...honestly makes a lot of sense considering she wasn't nominated for an award, and also isn't presenting an award. In other words, there was no reason for her to go!
Last year, Taylor was nominated for Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement thanks to The Eras Tour Concert film, and showed up wearing a gorgeous green sparkling dress that made us all thinking RepTV was incoming (it wasn't).
And that was actually the fifth time Taylor's been nominated for a Golden Globe—though her previous nominations were in the Best Original Song category.
So, what's Taylor doing instead of hanging at the Golden Globes? The Chiefs had a game today (which Taylor also skipped), so it's possible she's with Travis Kelce. But it also seems likely that she's taking some time to relax now that the Eras Tour is over!
Either way, a source recently told Page Six “It also looks like Taylor is going to make Nashville more of a home base than LA or NY since it’s closer to Kansas City, and her mom, Andrea, loves [Nashville] too. Taylor and Travis live fairly nomadic lives, and Taylor has home bases everywhere, but they live everywhere together."
