Yahoo Lifestyle Ariana Grande takes the summer's bubble skirt trend to the red carpet
You would have to, quite literally be living under a rock (or at least somewhere with no internet access) to be oblivious to the zeitgeist-defining, movie-musical juggernaut that is Wicked.
With the first instalment of the film dropping in cinemas in late 2024, its stars set out on an exhaustive press tour - one which saw its leading ladies Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande showcase their adorable friendship and launch a thousand memes in the process.
Ofc, as fashion buffs, we were also more than a little obsessed with the duo's twinning green and pink method dressing that saw them embody their on-screen characters of Glinda and Elphaba via plenty of custom looks and rare finds from designers like Thom Browne, Schiaparelli, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and many more.
Now, Ari has continued her fashion streak at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, where she accepted a 'Rising Star' award delivered by none other than comedy queen and The White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge.
For the occasion, Ari rocked a strapless Louis Vuitton gown which featured a voluminous bubble skirt that well and truly defied gravity (sorry, we had to!) paired with matching stilettos, a diamond choker and her hair swept up into an elegant updo.
The bubble hem trend was a major look throughout the summer which has remained strong through the winter months and we are obsessed with Ari for taking the look to the red carpet!
Something we're even more obsessed with? Ari's impromptu red carpet meeting with none other than Nicole Kidman.
In an adorable moment, Ari curtsied for Nicole on the red carpet the two could be seen kissing her hand to pay her respects. Afterwards, the two actresses could be seen bending towards each other, in a display of mutual excitement.
Kind of...obsessed!
