Aquazzura’s Edgardo Osorio Taps Longtime Friend Alex Rivière for Latest Capsule Collection
MILAN — It had to happen sooner or later: after spending time both on set for campaigns and glamorous summer holidays alike, Aquazzura’s founder Edgardo Osorio and Spanish digital entrepreneur and longtime friend Alex Rivière are strengthening their personal bond by developing a capsule collection together.
The focused range — which encompasses shoes, bags and jewelry — is to drop at Aquazzura’s store and e-commerce on Tuesday and celebrated with an event the following day at Santo Mauro hotel in Madrid.

A year-and-half in the making, the Alex Rivière x Aquazzura capsule for resort 2025 combines the detail-oriented eye of Aquazzura’s founder with Rivière’s signature essential and timeless sense of style, which over the years has attracted more than a million followers to her Instagram feed alone.
“Alex is not only a dear friend but also the epitome of the modern, sophisticated woman, showcasing minimalist elegance in everything she does and wears,” Osorio said. “As a male designer, I cherish collaborating with women whose style I admire, as it brings a fresh perspective and a woman’s touch to my work. The collection is versatile and effortlessly chic, suitable for a variety of occasions.”
The duo clicked immediately when Rivière attended one of Aquazzura’s presentations. Ever since, their personal and professional journeys have crossed paths repeatedly, from vacations around the Mediterranean duly documented on social media to Rivière fronting Aquazzura’s resort 2022 campaign. Osorio also designed the shoes she wore for her dreamy wedding to Christian Sieber in Venice in November 2022.
“This collaboration is very dear to my heart. Not only it includes every shoe I have ever needed but is also created with a dear friend and designer whom I have always deeply admired,” said Rivière, adding that the range “reflects our shared values and passion for beauty.”
The goal was to develop a focused line of versatile and easy-to-match pieces that women can wear from day to night.
These include sleek sling-back styles, both flat and with a mid-height heel, crafted in smooth leather or croco-embossed textures; timeless open-toe mules with the same effects or rendered in a leopard motif, and strappy cage sandals in black leather or tan suede.
A top-handle bag crafted from croco-embossed leather in black or a tan hue mixed with natural canvas adds to the offering. The design comes with a gold-toned rounded ribbed clasp detail, which is also reprised in jewelry pieces such as earrings and cuffs.
Prices for the collection range from 495 euros for earrings to 1,495 euros for the bags, while footwear’s price tags swing from 550 euros for the flats to 895 euros for the high-heeled strappy sandals.
Rivière’s collaboration with Aquazzura follows in the footsteps of her ongoing partnership with Italian resort brand Manebì and the launch of their latest effort earlier this year.
Up next, the entrepreneur’s own Alex Rivière Studio brand will unveil a store location ion Madrid in October.
Rivière initially followed her passion for the fashion industry by establishing the Rivi Studio company, active in services such as creative direction, content production, design and digital marketing for fashion brands. The success of the project encouraged her to launch the Alex Rivière Studio resortwear line based on sustainable luxury beachwear cut in timeless shapes and crafted in Costa Brava, Spain, supporting local manufacturers.
