Annapurna President Nathan Gary Departs Megan Ellison Studio

Deadline has confirmed that Nathan Gary, the president of Annapurna Pictures, is departing after a three-year stint.

In addition, Annapurna’s Heads of Gaming, Deborah Mars and Nathan Vella, are also exiting.

Hector Sanchez, who recently returned to the studio division he helped launch in 2016, will be in charge of Annapurna’s gaming endeavors as President of Interactive and New Media.

THR first had the news. Ellison is bringing her gaming division together with the rest of her film, TV, theater departments.

Gary was the former head of interactive at Annapurna before ascending to President.

Annapurna has a movie at TIFF, by the way: The Amy Adams headliner Nigthbitch which is making its world premiere here tomorrow night. Annapurna had the Oscar nominated animated movie Nimona this past year which streamed on Netflix and the animated TV series Sausage Party: Foodtopia. They also produced the Sarah Paulson Tony winning play Appropriate.
