Angelina Jolie is slamming “liars” days after she finalized her divorce from Brad Pitt.

The former Hollywood power couple fought a brutal eight-year legal battle that finally ended when they reached a settlement on Monday.

In an interview with W Magazine that was released on Friday, Jolie—without naming any names—candidly shared her biggest pet peeve in a person.

“My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar,” she said. “Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel. There’s a big version of that—and I’m not trying to be heavy about it—but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren’t completely who they are."

“I think a lot of people don’t say what they mean,” she added.

A source close to Pitt told the Daily Beast that Jolie’s comments in the magazine are “ironic but sad, especially considering that over the past eight years, the other side has resorted to an endless distortion of facts and projecting their own behavior onto others.”

Whether or not Jolie’s remark was intended as a barb at her ex, there’s no doubt that their acrimonious divorce proceedings left little love between the two Oscar winners.

In a statement to People earlier this week, Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” he added.

An anonymous source close to Jolie, meanwhile, told People that “Angelina hopes the finalization of their divorce will enable him to move on, stop attacking her, and instead help heal their family.”

The source close to Pitt agreed on this point, telling the Daily Beast that the divorce “is a good step forward for everybody. Hopefully, this is helpful to the family’s healing.”

Jolie and Pitt became engaged in 2012 after dating for seven years. They married in 2014, but filed for divorce just two years later.

The super couple share six children together. Three—Maddox, Zahara, and Pax—were adopted, while Jolie gave birth to Shiloh in 2006 and twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008.
