$4.99 Aldi wine takes top honours at International wine competition
Fresh off being named Australia's favourite supermarket of the year for 2021, Aldi Australia has added another gong to its collection, with the store's wine range claiming the top award at the Melbourne International Wine Competition.
All up, Aldi's wine took out three major titles; Italy Pinot Grigio Winery of the Year, Brut Champagne of the Year, and Sauvignon Blanc winery of the year, as well as claiming three Double Gold awards and four Gold awards.
"We are thrilled that our award-winning wines have been recognised yet again among the highest quality drops available in Australia. Produced locally and abroad by our network of loyal partners, these awards are a testament to their hard work and dedication," Wine Buying Director at Aldi Australia Jason Bowyer said in a statement.
Consumers clearly agreed, having already voted to help Aldi win 'Best Liquor Retailer' in this years’ Canstar Awards.
